This season, the NFHS Network has partnered with the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) to showcase top performing male and female student-athletes from around the state with the TAPPS Scholar-Athlete of the month program. The TAPPS Scholar-Athlete of the Month award recognizes high school athletes who demonstrate excellence in the classroom as well as on the athletic field.
TAPPS will highlight the Scholar-Athletes of the Month to a deserving male and female student-athlete each month starting on November 1st. For each month of the program, the winners will be featured on the NFHS Network’s TAPPS webpage with a picture of each winner and a write-up of his and her accomplishments on the field and in the classroom/community.
• Student must attend a TAPPS member school,
• Participate in varsity sports,
• Carry a minimum GPA of 3.2, and
• Exhibit leadership qualities within the school and the community
Schools that are part of the NFHS Network and School Broadcast program will get first priority for nominations.

Submissions must be made by the 25th of each month and include an image of nominated student athlete.
