$15 general admission for the day.
 All tickets must be purchased through TAPPS Tickets either prior to or at the tournament site.

Cash will not be accepted on site.

Weather Considerations

In the event of rain or other weather conditions
  • The start may be delayed
  • We will hold and continue as possible or
  • suspend play
  • Teams should be prepared to help clear the courts in preparation for play
  • Please be prepared in the event of inclement weather as updates will be made through the TAPPS Twitter Account @TAPPS_Tennis

Parking:

  • Please park in designated areas only.
  • There are limited parking spaces designated for handicapped so please be considerate
  • Buses and vans should not park near the entrance to the facility

Food and Drink:

  • Limited concessions are available.
  • Outside food and drinks are allowed in the facility.

Tournament Information

Tennis Balls

Provided by TAPPS

Officials

  • Provided by TAPPS
  • Roaming throughout the tournament
  • Line Calls, etc
    • Officials will not be called upon unless needed
    • Be prepared for both head coaches to attend the match, if needed

Coaching

  • Allowed during changeovers beginning with game #3
  • Coaching is not allowed during games or sets
  • Coaches should not go onto the courts unless instructed to do so by TAPPS personnel

Draws

  • Draws shall be determined by the TAPPS office based on information submitted with each entry
  • We will seed the draws as possible based on seeding information provided
  • Draws are subject to change prior to the first match based on withdrawals or substitutions
  • Order of competition shall be determined and announced at the coaches meeting

Match Format

  • 8 Game Pro Set
  • Other than Championship Matches
    • Capped
    • Winner determined as first to 10 games
  • Championship Matches
    • Uncapped
    • Winner determined by first player to go up by two games

Scoring

  • Game scoring
    • Prior to First Loss
      • With AD scoring
    • After First Loss
    • No AD scoring
  • Team Scoring
    • Prior to First Loss
      • 2.5 Points to Winner
      • 1.0 Points to Loser
    • After First Loss
      • 1.5 Points to Winner
      • 0.5 Points to Loser

Awards

  • Individual
    • First through fourth place medals
    • At district, all places shall be determined by match play unless outside forces dictate otherwise
  • State Qualifiers
    • 1st through 7th Qualifiers shall be determined by matches on the front side of the draw
    • 8th Qualifier shall be noted as the Consolation Champion
      • Unless the 8th Place entry on the front side of the draw defeated the Consolation Champion earlier in the tournament
      • If fewer than ten entries in a draw, playback may be considered
  • Team
    • First place through Third place shall be awarded
    • Tie Breakers shall be in accordance with the TAPPS Tie Breaker manual
