  • High School Cheer Coach – We are looking for someone who can help develop our team to be true Spirit Leaders for our sporting events. The ideal candidate would have (non all-star) cheer experience at the high school and (preferably) college level to be able to teach how to engage fans and create a spirit filled atmosphere along with helping train cheerleaders on basic understanding of the sports they cheer for, as to be proactive in leading situation-appropriate fan engagement. Cheer team is responsible for making game day signs, planning pep rallies, and cheering at Football and Basketball games. Cheer coach will also conduct tryouts and take the team to cheer camp over the Summer. WORK HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

On/off-campus responsibilities from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday or weekend commitments, depending on evening games and/or playoffs.  All coaches are employed on a seasonal basis and continued employment is based on annual performance reviews conducted by the Athletic Director. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working closely with the Athletic department, the head coach of baseball is responsible for initiating various aspects of the baseball program, such as program development, training, and coaching team members. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Parish Episcopal School. Parish Episcopal School is a member TAPPS.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Parish Episcopal School
  • A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept;
  • 3-5 years of Coaching or playing experience;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of practice schedules, game plans, and overall strategy for the team
  • Work with players to improve their skills, technique, and knowledge of the game
  • Develop game plans and strategies for specific position groups and coordinate the execution of those plans during games
  • Provide constructive feedback to players on their performance and help to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs to improve player fitness and reduce the risk of injury

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of two years of coaching experience at the high school level
  • Strong knowledge of six-man football strategy, tactics, and techniques
  • Experience in player development, strength and conditioning, and game planning
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other coaches and staff members
  • Passion for teaching and developing young athletes

  • Powerlifting coaches will need to be trained in proper lift technique, use of power lifting equipment.  Power Lifting will be a new sport added this coming year so coaches must be prepared and be able to start from the basics and help build a program for both boys and girls.  Safety of our athletes is paramount and will be the first priority when training for any sport.

WORK HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:
On/off-campus responsibilities from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday or weekend commitments, depending on evening games and/or playoffs.  All coaches are employed on a seasonal basis and continued employment is based on annual performance reviews conducted by the Athletic Director.

Working closely with the Athletic department, the head coach of girls’ basketball is responsible for initiating various aspects of the girls’ basketball program, such as program development (7th-12th), training, and coaching team members.
