One Act Play Directors,

Check out our TAPPS One Act Play webpage.  Schools have been assigned to a district and district presidents have been noted on the posting.   Our schools stretch across the state with some cities being affected by the COVID virus more than others.  Please fill out this quick poll informing us of your current situation.  While this is not an official declaration of participation, your assistance is greatly appreciated as we make our plans for the coming year.

TAPPS One Act Play 2020 Intent to Participate

We have been working with Broadway on Demand in conjunction with other publishers to allow for schools to obtain streaming rights for OAP and theater overall.  Playscripts and Stage Partners have jumped on board with TAPPS as far as working to get all their plays able to be streamed for your audiences.  Playwrights and publishers determine any fees for streaming licences per play, but this additional presentation opportunity benefits many audiences.

With physical distancing a major part of slowing the spread of the coronavirus, Playscripts continues working with playwrights to rewrite staging for plays allowing for directors to stage plays with physical distancing in place.  Publishers continue to work with playwrights to create opportunities for schools to present virtual plays if your school is not able to have in-person classes.

We all look forward to the return to school in the fall and competing in TAPPS OAP as we have in the past. As with this and all TAPPS activities, we are exploring multiple scenarios and solutions to provide the best opportunity for our schools and students to compete in a safe and meaningful competition.

As questions arise, please contact the TAPPS office by email at info@localhost or by phone at 254-947-9268.  We look forward to learning more about your plans and providing assistance as we move through the year.
