Athletic Directors and Tennis Coaches:
The championship tournaments are just a week away and we are working through the brackets as fast as we can. We will once again offer a mixed doubles draw for the 1A-2A-3A days and the 4A-5A-6A days. The first round will be played on the afternoon of day one for your school’s championship. The remaining rounds will be played on day two. This is a single elimination draw of 8 game pro sets which are capped at 10.
While the draws do not count in team points, the players will be playing for the championship of their draw like last year. Each draw is capped at no more than 32 teams. If your school will not participate please advise the TAPPS office as soon as possible of that decision as alternates are waiting. As a reminder, a student who advances in the singles or doubles draw to the state competition will not be eligible for the mixed doubles competition.
