There are several updates regarding the football events in Waco next week.
The TAPPS 2022 Lineman Challenge is canceled. The group that was going to host and run this competition fell through.
The kicking clinic and competition will be held as scheduled. We are excited to announce that Scott Blanton, from Kicking Exposure, will be running the TAPPS 2022 kicker clinic and competition on Friday, June 24 at the Heart of Texas Soccer Fields in Waco.
Scott starred at the University of Oklahoma as both a kicker and punter. He moved on to an NFL career, primarily with the Washington Redskins. Scott brings 25 years of experience training kickers and punters from middle school up to the professional level.
Scott will be joined by former TCU and NFL kicker, Jonathan Song.
Check in begins at 8:00am on June 24. The clinic runs from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm with the competition starting at 12:00 pm. An individual student can be registered whether the school is participating in the 7 on 7 or 6 on 6 tournament or not. Cost is $10 per student, cash or check only. Kicker Registration Form
