- All TAPPS contests are governed by the NFHS soccer rules for the current school year.

- Removal of jersey either in celebration is considered “taunting” and shall result in immediate disqualification from the match. All penalties shall be enforced according to NFHS rules.

- Game Length:

- All district and post district matches between member schools shall be played to a conclusion. There should be no ties in these contests.
- Unless district rules dictate otherwise, TAPPS rules include the following if teams are tied at the end of regulation play.
- Two (2) ten minute golden goal periods
- If either team scores during the two overtime periods the match is concluded at that point.
- If tied at the conclusion of the overtime period, penalty kicks shall determine the outcome of the match.

- Time Keeping

- Where a stadium clock is available it should be utilized
- Stadium clock should go to 0:00 and not be stopped with time kept on the field for the final 2:00 minutes of play.
- Time shall be kept on the field when no stadium clock is available.
- NFHS timekeeping rules shall apply

- Uniforms

- All NFHS uniform rules shall apply and be enforced.

- Removal From a Contest

- If a coach or player earns removal from a contest the NFHS rules shall apply.
- All officials should provide a report of the action through the appropriate platform
- A player removed from a contest may remain on the sideline unless the ejection warrants leaving the pitch entirely
- A coach removed from a contest shall leave the stadium
