Academics & Speech Teachers
Please review the schedule for our Academics & Speech Championship. More details will be sent in the coming weeks including proctoring instructions, judging, etc.
For academic testing, all students from your school must start the test at the same time and have a proctor for the duration of the test. Each test must be started within the window of time listed below:
Monday, March 29
- Current Events 8 am – 11 am
- Literary Criticism 1 pm – 4 pm
Tuesday, March 30
- Science 8 am – 11 am
- Advanced Math 1 pm – 4 pm
- TAPPS Math 1 pm – 4 pm
- Number Sense 8 am – 4 pm
- Calculator 8 am – 4 pm
Wednesday, March 31
- Social Studies 8 am – 11 am
- Spanish 1 pm – 4 pm
- Spelling 8 am – 4 pm
Speech entries which are pre-recorded may be uploaded to Varsity Hype beginning on Monday, March 29 and due by the dates listed below:

- Poetry uploads due
Wednesday, April 7
- Prose uploads due
Thursday, April 8
- Original Oratory uploads due
Friday, April 9
- Solo and Duet uploads due
Monday, April 12
- LD Debate – Student Check-in at 8:45 am.
- Students should be available through elimination.
- Judges should be available 8:15 am through the finals round.
Tuesday, April 13
- Persuasive Speaking – Student Check-in at 8:45 am
- Students should be available through elimination.
- Judges should be available 8:15 am through the finals round.
