Basketball Coaches,
TAPPSCON24 will offer a variety of presentations for coaches and there will be some special football offerings on June 6.
- The basketball rules clinic will be presented by JP Patterson, President of TASO Basketball and Kevin Smotherman of THSBOA. This is an opportunity to go over current rules, points of emphasis, rules coming for the 2024 season and possible There will be discussion of the best ways to address the current scarcity of officials, as well as tips for maintaining positive, professional relationships.
- The TAPPS Basketball Panel is an experienced group that will be sharing their perspectives. Topics will be addressed that are important to coaches such as:
- Practice Planning – Pre-Season, In-Season & Off-Season
- Program Culture
- Game Planning
- Tips for Winning in the Playoffs
- Relationships with Non-School Coaches & Trainers (AAU/Select)
- Current Rule Changes & Consideration for Future Changes
Following the panel there is a coaches workshop with plenty of white boards and markers for X’s and O’s. You can enjoy time with your colleagues, as well.
