Dr. Cheng is board-certified in plastic surgery and hand surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Jennifer Kargel, M.D.Jennifer Kargel, M.D.
Dr. Kargel is board-certified in plastic surgery and is a member of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she also completed her plastic surgery residency. Dr. Kargel has completed subspecialty fellowship training in hand surgery and microsurgery at UT Southwestern and is an assistant professor in the UT Southwestern Department of Plastic Surgery. Purushottam Nagarkar, M.D.Purushottam Nagarkar, M.D.
Dr. Nagarkar is board-certified in plastic and hand surgery. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at UT Southwestern and further trained in hand surgery and microsurgery at University of California in Los Angeles.
Objectives:

  1. Discuss the incidence and prevalence of musculoskeletal injuries unique to dance
  2. Discuss the unique evaluation of dances to determine factors contributing to dance injuries
  3. Review the approach to rehabilitation and return to dance for injuries in dancers
