Dead Week – July 24-29

Athletic Directors and Coaches:

As a reminder to our member schools, July 24-29 is the week prior to the beginning of TAPPS activities for the new school year. As such, it is designated as “Dead Week” for all TAPPS athletic programs. During that week, no athletic related activities may be held.

The following Activities are not allowed during Dead Week:

  1. High School Team Meetings
  2. High School Team Building Activities
  3. High School Team Camps
  4. High School Team Travel / Lodging
  5. High School Physicals
  6. Open Gyms
  7. Open Weight Rooms
  8. On or Off Campus School Directed Instruction

Fine Art activities are not subject to the Dead Week restrictions.  These activities include Band, Cheer, Dance, Drum Line, One Act Play, Orchestra, Robotics and Vocal Music
