Robotics Coaches,
We are excited to kick off our TAPPS FTC Championship next week starting with our Virtual tournament, Awards Judging, followed by our in person Live tournament. Please read through all these details and make sure you follow through with all items as soon as possible.
TEAM REGISTRATION
TAPPS FTC Team Registration Form- DUE TODAY
FIRST Event
Once your team is registered, you will be entered into the FTC TAPPS Event (labeled as scrimmage) in the FIRST system.
- All teams (Virtual and Live) will upload their judging portfolios within that event for judging. Please review the Judging Portfolio guidelines here page 33.
- Virtual teams will upload their match scores from Monday, May 10, 12:00 am until Sunday, May 16, 11:59 pm
- Live teams will NOT upload any match score as you will be participating live in Waco on Monday, May 17.
- Request Feedback. If you would like to request judge feedback, be sure to select that option within the event. Your team will need to fill out some information for this option. Here is an example of the Judge’s Feedback
JUDGING
Judging for awards will be Friday, May 14 – Exact schedule will be sent early next week after we have all teams registered.
4:50 pm Judge’s meeting
5:20 pm-7:00 pm Team Interviews
20 min blocks for each team for judge interviews. Each team should arrive in their zoom room a minimum of 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time so that they can be sent to their personal team room. Each team should prepare a 5 minute presentation to start the judging process. It will be followed by a 5 minute Q&A from the judges.
7:00 pm – 7:45 pm Break and Judge’s Deliberation
Teams do not need to be in their rooms during this time.
7:45 pm-8:15 pm (or until done) Team Follow-up.
Please arrive back in the zoom at 7:40 pm to be sent to your rooms so that your team is ready when the judges come to follow up with more questions. Please remain in your room until we let you know you are no longer needed.

We will need volunteers for the live event and for judging. Judges must register on the FIRST Inspires website and register for the event to have full access to Judging Portfolios. We specifically are still in need of judges, refs and inspectors.
