Fall Photo Contest Now Open
We are pleased to announce that the 2020 Fall Photography Contest is now open. Dates have been adjusted to allow as many of our students to have as much time with instructors as possible prior to entry. Students may enter up to two images per category. Entry fee is 3$ per image. If you are new to the contest and would like to see the winners from last year, you can see our winners gallery here and our Fall 2019 Photo Program here. Entry deadline is November 20.
Faculty Category Added
We are also happy to announce the inclusion of a faculty division in this year’s contest. Any faculty member of a participating TAPPS school may compete in this division. All faculty submissions will be judged together. Judges will award first, second, third places and honorable mentions. There is no limit on faculty submissions. Entry fee is 3$ per image.
Submissions will be made through the ATPI Photo Contest Entry System
The Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI) provides information and resources to teachers and students that work with photography, whether in Art, Journalism, Career and Technology or Vocational curriculum areas. All entries for the TAPPS Fall Photo Contest will be submitted through the ATPI Photo Contest Entry System, which is a tool developed by ATPI to facilitate digital media contests. Read more about ATPI at http://www.atpi.org/ and follow them on twitter @atpi. Instructors do not need to be a member of ATPI in order to use this website (although membership is encouraged.)
To submit images for this contest,
- Instructors must either create an account on the contest site or use their own if they have participated in an ATPI contest before.
- Images must be formatted correctly and include metadata (see instructions at link below).
Complete instructions for contest entry can be found here.
The contest website is open and receiving entries as of today, Friday September 18. Entries must be submitted through the ATPI contest system by 6 pm on November 20th. Contest fee is 3$ per entry. Payment should be made as soon as possible after you have submitted your entries.
We will be posting a video on the overall contest and the ATPI contest entry system next week, which will include detailed instructions on photo metadata in multiple platforms. Follow @TAPPSart on twitter or check the Fall Photo page on the TAPPS website for links to that video and more information as the contest progresses.
